From the 2011 Cherry Blossom Festival poster, to posters for the Virginia Opera, and cover illustrations for Harvard, Johns Hopkins, Syracuse, Vanderbilt, The University of Chicago, and American University, illustrator Michael Gibbs’ work has been featured on hundreds of books, magazines, annual reports, and more since the early 1980s.
A graduate of Pratt Institute, his award-winning artwork has also appeared in Newsweek, Time, The New York Times, The Washington Post, and in United Airlines and Oracle publications.
Some of those illustrations have been recognized by prestigious art publications such as Communication Arts, 3×3 Magazine, and Print. Michael’s work has also been exhibited at a variety of museums and galleries, including the Society of Illustrators’ Museum of American Illustration in New York City, and the Corcoran Museum of Art in DC.
